Full Description:

The Shepherd's Center is an interfaith, non-profit organization of older adult volunteers helping other other adults in the local community with services to help maintain independent living and enrichment programs to stimulate life-long learning. Services include transportation to medical appointments, companion shopping, grocery pickup, minor home repairs, friendly callers, record keeping assistance, support groups, and a Parish Nurse. Some of the programs offered are trips, quarterly luncheons, and Adventures in Learning classes. Adults over the age of 50 are encouraged to call the office at 703-281-0538 to be placed on the mailing list, request services, or inquire about volunteer opportunities.
